Republican, conservative, libertarian visibility for Question 6

Last week the suburban Gazette’s feature for Coming Out Day profiled two of Maryland for All Families’ key supporters, Chrys Kefalas, former counsel to Gov. Bob Ehrlich, and Mike Estève, former head of the Maryland College Republicans and president of the Maryland for All Families PAC. Read about their stories here.

Speaking of the Maryland for All Families PAC, it filed its financial reports with the state for the Oct. 12 reporting threshold. All told, we have helped raise more than $12,000 for the cause from well-wishers of liberty since summer, a majority of which went directly to Marylanders for Marriage Equality as distinct from our own PAC.

And a hint to opinion editors in the state: Ken Mehlman, former head of the Republican National Committee, was just in the Minneapolis paper with a piece entitled “The Conservative Case for Same-Sex Marriage.” I understand Mehlman is a former Maryland resident, so he might be especially receptive if asked to write something tailored to the YES on 6 effort.
